China bans mini skirts in buses

No to mini skirts or plunging necklines in the subways or on public buses. Chinese authorities and the Department of Beijing Public Security has in fact posted on their blog a guide in which women are advised to avoid too skimpy clothes when traveling on public transport.

In addition to this ban, the advice also includes 'to avoid sitting on the upper floors of the bus (double-deckers) or to stop standing on the stairs of the bus if you are wearing a skirt, to avoid inappropriate photographs by those who sit at the level lower.
