Nigerians applauds Jonathan on Boko Haram Decline

The local press and few bloggers like Osa applauds the Nigerian President after weeks of Boko Haram decline across the country. Northern Nigeria is safer now than it was since 2009, thanks to President Goodluck Jonathan for sending troops to states declared under the emergency rule.

It is a rare victory against the Islamist extremist that has continued to inflict injuries on civilians and christians across the country. "The muscles of Goodluck Jonathan and his administration in the fight against Boko Haram gives thoughts of victory and safety to the people."

Noting that before the emergency declaration, Nigerians suffered at least 20 deaths per day. This weekend alarmed me that the number stated has shrunked significantly to 20 per week or no incidents at all.
