However, depending on the relationship between the number of neighbors and the overall fertility rate, the global population in the late can reach 16.6 billion or even down to 6.8 billion. The population in developing countries is expected to grow from 5.9 billion in 2013 to 8.2 billion in 2050 and 9.6 billion in 2100, according to the report.
Already in more developed regions, the growth was very small: 1.25 billion this year to 1.28 billion in 2100.
