Emenike scores twice as Nigeria rallies from behind to a 2-1 win at Ethiopia in World Cup playoffs. Nigeria survived a scare in Addis Ababa as the African champions rallied from a goal down to beat Ethiopia in the opening leg of the 2014 World Cup play-off.
The Fenerbahçe striker was the first on target at the 67 minute to neutralize Behailu Assefa 57th minute goal scored before converting from the spot on 90 minutes as the Super Eagles flew out of Italy with a vital win ahead of the second leg.
The second leg of the Ethiopia vs Nigeria series will be in Calabar, Nigeria, on Nov. 16. Nigeria are now favorites to progress to their second straight World Cup when the two sides meet again in Calabar thanks to Emmanuel Emenike two goals advantage.
