Meet the winner - Best African Artist

Nigerian superstar Davido, won the ‘Best African Artiste of the Year’ award at the 15th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Davido held off strong competition from P-Square, KCee, Wizkid, Flavour and South African duo Mafikizolo to grab the award on May 3, 2014, Saturday.

According to organizers, this prize is presented to the “non-Ghanaian musicians whose music crossed borders and made the most impact in Ghana and on the continent at large during the year under review”.

The Nigerian singer won the award from his rival and last year’s holder, Wizkid.
