Serena Williams wins Fifth U.S Open Final

Serena Williams, Tennis World number one, was crowned champion this Sunday at the 2013 U.S. Open defeating Belarussian Victoria Azarenka in one of the best female Grand Slam finals in recent years.

The American won 7-5, 6-7 (6), 6-1 in two hours and 45 minutes to win her ninth title of the season and seventeenth Grand Slam. She is only behind legends Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova.Serena Williams became the oldest champion of the U.S. Open women's singles at just 31 years and 348 days.
