Hotels Nigeria is set to become Africa's largest online hotel booking site. Mark Essien, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Hotels.ng, has told HumanIPO the goal of the online hotel booking site is to be the biggest in Africa.
“Our operations will always get bigger, since we plan to be the biggest hotel booking site in Africa,” Essien said.
Currently he said the platform has around 4,700 hotels across the Nigeria and covers 300 Nigerian cities, “including all major cities down to the smallest towns”.
“Our short term goal is to make every hotel in Nigeria bookable online [while] our long term goal is to make every hotel in Africa bookable online,” he told HumanIPO.
He added that the company is making more bookings than all international brands operating in West Africa.
“We now do more bookings in Nigeria alone than all international brands do in West Africa,” Essien said.
