Nina Davuluri Miss New York Wins Miss America 2014. Nina Davuluri was last night crowned Miss America 2014 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The 24-year-old Miss New York is the first Miss America of Indian origin - and was immediately attacked on the internet. It is the second year in a row that the crown goes to Miss New York.
During the show Davuluri said she was against plastic surgery, "because one's individuality should be celebrated."
The 93rd election of Miss America returned after eight years in Las Vegas back to hometown Atlantic City, New Jersey. Proceeds from the show will be used to help raise fund for Hurricane Sandy victims.
