Monday, January 20 was a day to celebrate the great Martin Luther King, a symbol of the struggle for civil rights of African Americans in the United States. It was overshadowed by a controversial single picture that was published.
A Russian photographer Alexander Kargaltsev , who currently lives in New York, published a an image , in which a black man was sitting on a white man.
" It saddens me to see how racism is seen as glamor , "said the artist. "I want to restore equality of races, genders and sexual orientations . "
Kargaltsev said he was forced to leave his country Russia because of the discrimination he suffered for being gay.
