Big Brother African Schedule | Season Premiere & Air Dates

Africa’s popular reality TV show, Big Brother Africa which was supposed to launch on September 7, 2014 was postponed following a fire incident will now premiere on October 5, 2014 at 1900 CAT.

Sasani Studios in Highlands, North Johannesburg where Big Brother Africa (BBA) Hotshot season 9 was supposed to be hosted, was gutted by fire a few days before the show was to launch, leaving fans disappointed.

Followers of the show can now look forward to it, as M-Net and Endemol SA has announced that is has secured another location.

“M-Net and Endemol SA have spent the last 48 hours searching both locally and internationally for a venue in which to produce Season 9 of the highly popular Big Brother Africa reality show. After exploring all possible options, the team are delighted to announce that the show will go on as a venue has been found to get the show on air within the next month,”

“A multitude of factors have had to be considered including the complex technical requirements, logistics, technical crews and satellite link facilities, which have all formed part of the challenge. However, M-Net is delighted to assure all its Big Brother fans that their favourite reality show will launch soon and thanks fans from across the continent for their support“.

This year the winner stands to walk away with $300,000. The show, will air 24/7 for 91 days on DStv channels 198 and 199. The show’s host will once again be Nigerian, IK Osakioduwa.

Big Brother Hotshots will run 24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198, with live eviction shows as well as the best of the live daily and weekly highlights shown on Africa Magic Family, Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic World and Maisha Magic
