Extended episodes for Game of Thrones Season 3

extended episodes of Game of Thrones

Gasp! It can't come quickly enough

The HBO "Game of Thrones" team is creating a "super-sized" third season of the hit series.
“There's almost another full episode's worth of extra minutes spread across the season,” Dan Weiss says. “One of the great liberties with HBO is we're not forced to come in at a specific time. We can’t be under 50 minutes or over 60, but that gives us a lot of flexibility."

"A super-sized season, as befitting Storm of Swords," David Benioff adds. "Last year we had a lot of 52-minute episodes. This year is a lot of 56, 57 minutes."

The third season finale is also expected to run more than an hour.

The third season will premiere on HBO on March 31, 2013.

I thought they did an amazing job with season 1 but felt as though they dropped the ball with season 2

Reading the books will ruin the series for you because Season 2 had so much stuff cut-out.  Looking forward to this ''Storm of Swords.''
