Dangote donates N130m to Eagles
Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has rewarded super eagles of Nigeria with N130million ($820,0000) cash gift for making it to the finals of the on-going Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Johannesburg.
The donation is to acknowledge the exploits of the nigerian soccer team at the AFCON 2013 and stimulate them to bring home the coveted trophy.
Sports minister Mallam Bolaji Abudllahi, speaking on the donation said: “We are happy over the gesture shown to the players and the coaching crew. It is an example for other well-meaning Nigerians to follow.”
Let's applaud Dangote's gesture.
