Obama takes salary cut

The President's salary is reduced by 5% for solidarity with public employees. But he remains a millionaire. Barack Obama decided to give back to the U.S. Treasury 5% of his annual salary. A check for $ 20,000 , because he earns $400,000 a year. An amount determined by law by Congress that the President can not change. But only return in part, if it considers. Which, in solidarity with public employees, Obama has decided to do so.
Obama takes reduced salary

The gesture of President Obama actually follows the announcement of the new defense secretary, Chuck Hagel, who recently said he would repay the equivalent of 14 days of his salary, $ 10,750, to the 750 000 civilian employees Pentagon will lose this year. That is fourteen days of no paid work.

The owner of the agency for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Bob Percisepe, even before Obama had announced it would donate 32 hours of their remuneration to a fund that subsidizes federal employees for emergency loans, programs for children and various types of financial assistance. The secretary for housing and urban development Shaun Donovan and his deputies will donate eight seven working days to be returned to the Treasury or non-profit groups that help low-income families with housing problems.
Meanwhile, A Nigerian minster makes more than Obama, lol
