In the digital apps world, he who controls instant messaging controls all. Like all over the world, it also true for Nigeria. The long reign of BBM has come to an end a midst its monopoly for decades and now competition for the most used Instant messaging apps in Nigeria is puzzling.

The Nigeria instant messaging (IM) market has seen a huge increase in WhatsApp, WeChat and Skype alongside the famous BBM. Here are the top five most used IM in Nigeria at present.
