Rapper Eminem says "I'm gay!"

Rapper Eminem says "I'm gay!"

The statement is spreading like wildfire. Detroit Rapper Eminem has just admitted he is gay-at least in the comedy movie "The Interview".

The 42-year-old says "When I rap stuff about gay people and then people think that my lyrics are homophobic, then that's only because I myself am gay."

In the film Eminem plays himself and admits that he is gay. This scene has been replayed on the multiple times but the question remains is Eminem really gay?

50 shades of Grey Poster- Not Movie Censored

50 shades of Grey Poster- Not Movie Censored

A cinema of the village of Welwyn Garden City, located in the suburbs of London, had to remove the poster that sat on its front because the 50 Shades of Grey Poster with Dakota Johnson was deemed too sexy and erotic. The poster in question, indeed we see the character she plays, Anastasia Steele phase to reach orgasm!

"The film is one of the biggest blockbusters of the year and presales walk pretty well, even if the film comes out on the day of Valentine's Day next year. The poster reflects the erotic nature of the film and was not explicit, but we understand that some people have been able to be shocked, "said the head of the cinema that removed the poster subject to controversies.

The image ( seen here in osaseye blog) is Anastasia Steele ( Dakota Johnson ), bare shoulders, blindfolded, in ecstasy, probably under the whip of her lover-sadistic billionaire Christian Grey ( Jamie Dornan )

The poster and cinema owner replaced it with a poster much less dangerous for morals Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies.

vote Goodluck Jonathan or Muhammadu Buhari for president?

There is somebody worth voting for. It has come down to these two choices: Goodluck Jonathan vs Muhammadu Buhari. It is a battle between the Commander and the General. We have seen what the incumbent president is capable of and have heard or seen what the former head of state accomplished during his short military coup.

Election Day is less than two months away and both candidate from either party has officially launched their campaign to be the next Nigerian president.

Who would you vote for if the two squared off in a presidential election today in a poll between Goodluck Jonathan as the People's Democratic Party frontrunner and Gen. Muhammadu Buhari the All Progressives Congress (APC) contender?

Text of British Queen Elizabeth' Christmas Day message

Queen Elizabeth Christmas Day message

British Queen Elizabeth II condemns religious violence and wishes for reconciliation following her traditional Christmas Day address.

"Sometimes it seems that reconciliation stands little chance in the face of war and discord. But, as the Christmas truce a century ago reminds us, peace and goodwill have lasting power in the hearts of men and women," she said.

"Bringing reconciliation to war or emergency zones is an even harder task, and I have been deeply touched this year by the selflessness of aid workers and medical volunteers who have gone abroad to help victims of conflict or of diseases like Ebola, often at great personal risk," she said.

The Queen made her first Christmas broadcast in 1952, live on the radio from her study at Sandringham.
Her first televised message came five years later and she has only missed one year, 1969, when she decided the royals had featured enough on TV after an unprecedented documentary.

Osaseye wishes the Queen, Pope Francis, Leaders around the world, peace and a merry christmas.

Nigeria: Boko Haram 5 year Report sees no Improvement

Nigeria: Boko Haram 5 year Report sees no Improvement
Celebrate Christmas in Nigeria? Where-Not in the North.Around 1.5 million people in Nigeria have been displaced from their homes at least temporarily, 15, 000 killed and about 3,000 kidnapped in the past five years by Boko Haram, according to calculations by the OEP.

Boko Haram plans to create an Islamic state in Nigeria-Africa's most populous nation of 160 million people. Nigeria is divided between Muslims in the north and Christians in the south.

The Boko Haram attack is extremely complex. Their name means ''Western Education is a Sin'' but they use guns, grenades, media and other machinery (made by/or created from western education).

Boko haram has failed to strike a ceasefire or any agreement with the Nigerian government. They continue to reign havoc on innocent Nigerians and as painful as this may sounds to Nigerians and other foreigners, 'the United Nations has remained quiet or silent on Boko Haram'' Boko Haram is not different from ISIS, it has ambitions for a caliphate, or religious state-so why are the US and foreign countries refusing to help Nigeria?

Still Missing: Malaysia Airlines flight, Nigeria Chibok Girls

still missing malaysia airlines and nigeria girls
Grieving family members of  passengers from a missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and Nigerian missing Chibok girls continues to accuse their respective governments of failing to provide them with regular updates on the search for the aircraft and schoolgirls.

They demanded to speak to government officials in a bid to get more information on the search for flight MH370. Police manhandled and pushed protesters that attempted to enter the gate and warned passersby to leave the area immediately.

"My son is alive and I want to know what the government is doing to find him," said Liu Dianyun, the mother of one of the passengers. A very similar story to that of the Nigerian counterpart.

239 people who were aboard the Boeing 777,  vanished on March 8 en route from Kuala Lumpur to China's capital.

On the night of April 14, 2014, hundreds of schoolgirls at the Chibok boarding school in northeastern Nigeria awoke to the sound of gunfire. 270 were reported missing and some schoolgirls have escaped since then and more added to the list.

Nigeria Naira-to-Dollar: A History of Failure

Nigeria Currency: A History of Failure

Nigerian dollar dealers halted trading after a central bank rule to limit the historic failure of plunging naira. How much is one dollar to naira? It is only a couple of days before people start trading at 200 to a dollar.

“This raises concerns about the credibility of the central bank,” Kevin Daly, senior portfolio manager at Aberdeen Asset Management Plc, said by phone from London. “If it was their intention to stabilize or see some appreciation of the naira, it’s backfired.”

Bid and ask prices for the Nigerian naira were quoted from 162 to 190 per dollar. The naira fell 12 percent against the dollar this quarter, the worst among 24 African currencies tracked by Bloomberg after Malawi’s kwacha.
The central bank later updated the circular to say the change was temporary.
“Banks have to sell all dollars they buy from the market, not to keep them until the following day,” Deputy Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Sarah Alade said by phone from Abuja. “It is to ensure dollar liquidity. We have noticed some dealers speculating on the currency because of the pressure from declining oil prices.”

The currency weakened less than 0.1 percent to 187 per dollar.

The central bank raised interest rates to a record 13 percent last month to protect the currency and its foreign reserves, down 19 percent this year, while Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala proposed an 8 percent budget cut yesterday.

Aberdeen Asset Management cut its naira holdings completely over the last two months and has no immediate plans to re-enter the market as the currency could fall further, Daly said.

“I’m happy to sit on the sidelines and wait to see it go higher against the dollar,” he said. “We’re getting to 200 quicker than I expected. But if someone called me right now and said they’d offer me 200” naira for each dollar, “I’d say no,” Daly said.

Nigeria's 200-year-old historic water-world_Lagos Makoko
Photographer Iwan Baan released photos from Makoko community, a city built on stilts in the Lagos Lagoon off the coast of Nigeria. Kinabuti team, Lola Okoye and friends took gifts to the community of Makoko in Yaba, Lagos State on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the "Floating school" in the community of fishermen and women who live on water.

It is no ordinary neighbourhood of Lagos - Nigeria's most populous city - with some calling it the "Venice of Africa". This 200-year-old water-world, however, is a vast slum with hovels built upon wooden stilts.

"I grew up in Makoko. Day to day, water is a problem here," Moses told Al Jazeera.

Ogon, another of the resident nodded in agreement. "People have lived here for many years and there is no solution to the water problem. We have boreholes where they sell water to the people."

Local entrepreneurs such as Samuel Onoja dig out groundwater and sell it at different locations around the slum. He fills up a large tank from a borehole 200 metres into the lagoon and sells it near his home.

"I work for my boss. He buys the water for 2,000 naira [$13] and we sell it for 4,000 naira [$26]," Onoja explained, rushing to fill canisters for customers who had queued up in boats outside his hut.

It's routine in Makoko for one family member to queue up at local water kiosks to fetch their daily supply. On average, each family in Makoko spends about 5,000 naira ($31) each month on groundwater.

Time Person Of The Year 2014: Ebola Fighter's (Photos)

Photos Ebola Fighters named Time's Person of the Year

Ebola Fighters has been named Time's Person of the Year. They risked and persisted, sacrificed and saved. Editor Nancy Gibbs explains why the Ebola Fighters are TIME's choice for Person of the Year

For decades, Ebola haunted rural African villages like some mythic monster that every few years rose to demand a human sacrifice and then returned to its cave. It reached the West only in nightmare form, a Hollywood horror that makes eyes bleed and organs dissolve and doctors despair because they have no cure.
But 2014 is the year an outbreak turned into an epidemic, powered by the very progress that has paved roads and raised cities and lifted millions out of poverty. This time it reached crowded slums in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone; it traveled to Nigeria and Mali, to Spain, Germany and the U.S. It struck doctors and nurses in unprecedented numbers, wiping out a public-health infrastructure that was weak in the first place. One August day in Liberia, six pregnant women lost their babies when hospitals couldn’t admit them for complications. Anyone willing to treat Ebola victims ran the risk of becoming one.
Which brings us to the hero’s heart. There was little to stop the disease from spreading further. Governments weren’t equipped to respond; the World Health Organization was in denial and snarled in red tape. First responders were accused of crying wolf, even as the danger grew. But the people in the field, the special forces of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), the Christian medical-relief workers of Samaritan’s Purse and many others from all over the world fought side by side with local doctors and nurses, ambulance drivers and burial teams.
Ask what drove them and some talk about God; some about country; some about the instinct to run into the fire, not away. “If someone from America comes to help my people, and someone from Uganda,” says Iris Martor, a Liberian nurse, “then why can’t I?” Foday Gallah, an ambulance driver who survived infection, calls his immunity a holy gift. “I want to give my blood so a lot of people can be saved,” he says. “I am going to fight Ebola with all of my might.”
MSF nurse’s assistant Salome Karwah stayed at the bedsides of patients, bathing and feeding them, even after losing both her parents—who ran a medical clinic—in a single week and surviving Ebola herself. “It looked like God gave me a second chance to help others,” she says. Tiny children watched their families die, and no one could so much as hug them, because hugs could kill. “You see people facing death without their loved ones, only with people in space suits,” says MSF president Dr. Joanne Liu. “You should not die alone with space-suit men.”
Those who contracted the disease encountered pain like they had never known. “It hurts like they are busting your head with an ax,” Karwah says. One doctor overheard his funeral being planned. Asked if surviving Ebola changed him, Dr. Kent Brantly turns the question around. “I still have the same flaws that I did before,” he says. “But whenever we go through a devastating experience like what I’ve been through, it is an incredible opportunity for redemption of something. We can say, How can I be better now because of what I’ve been through? To not do that is kind of a shame.”
So that is the next challenge: What will we do with what we’ve learned? This was a test of the world’s ability to respond to potential pandemics, and it did not go well. It exposed corruption in African governments along with complacency in Western capitals and jealousy among competing bureaucrats. It triggered mistrust from Monrovia to Manhattan. Each week brought new puzzles. How do you secure a country, beyond taking passengers’ temperatures at the airport? Who has the power to order citizens to stay home, to post a guard outside their door? What will it take to develop treatments for diseases largely confined to poor nations, even as this Ebola outbreak had taken far more lives by mid-October than all the earlier ones combined?
The death in Dallas of Thomas Eric Duncan, the first Ebola patient diagnosed on U.S. soil, and the infection of two nurses who treated him, shook our faith in the ability of U.S. hospitals to handle this kind of disease. From there the road to full freak-out was a short one. An Ohio middle school closed because an employee had flown on the same plane as one of Duncan’s nurses. Not the same flight, just the same plane. A Texas college rejected applicants from Nigeria, since that country had some “confirmed Ebola cases.” A Maine schoolteacher had to take a three-week leave because she went to a teachers’ conference in Dallas. Fear, too, was global. When a nurse in Spain contracted Ebola from a priest, Spanish authorities killed her dog as a precaution, while #VamosAMorirTodos (We’re all going to die) trended on Twitter. Guests at a hotel in Macedonia were trapped in their rooms for days after a British guest got sick and died. Turned out to have nothing to do with Ebola.
The problem with irrational responses is that they can cloud the need for rational ones. Just when the world needed more medical volunteers, the price of serving soared. When nurse Kaci Hickox, returning from a stint with MSF in Sierra Leone with no symptoms and a negative blood test, was quarantined in a tent in Newark, N.J., by a combustible governor, it forced a reckoning. “It is crazy we are spending so much time having this debate about how to safely monitor people coming back from Ebola-endemic countries,” says Hickox, “when the one thing we can do to protect the population is to stop the outbreak in West Africa.”
Ebola is a war, and a warning. The global health system is nowhere close to strong enough to keep us safe from infectious disease, and “us” means everyone, not just those in faraway places where this is one threat among many that claim lives every day. The rest of the world can sleep at night because a group of men and women are willing to stand and fight. For tireless acts of courage and mercy, for buying the world time to boost its defenses, for risking, for persisting, for sacrificing and saving, the Ebola fighters are TIME’s 2014 Person of the Year.

And the 'Big Brother Africa' Season 9 Winner Is...
This Sunday, Tanzanaian Idris Sutan made Big Brother Africa, becoming the second from his country to win the show. The 21 year old walks away with the $300 000 grand prize. Fellow housemate and Nigerian Tayo finished second.

Tayo had turned out to be the outright favourite to the jackpot but Idris’ advantage came because most countries that have allies to Tanzania like Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Zambia had bowed out of the house, unlike Idris who still had competitors to the finale.

For the finale Idris, looked drapper in his suit and said he will "give the money back to Africa."

Mourinho blames Newcastle BALL-BOYS for Chelsea's defeat

Jose Mourinho blames Newcastle BALL-BOYS for Chelsea's defeat
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is not one to accept defeat, not even to Newcastle and refused to blame the players for the result.

It's never Jose Mourinho's fault. The difference was Newcastle finished there chances and Chelsea didn't. He`s probably the most disliked manager in Britain! First in the interview with Lineker he refused to congratulate host Manager Alan Pardew and Newcastle, and said that they were lucky. Mourinho blamed the Newcastle ball boys for losing his team’s unbeaten start to the season.

"You need one ball,” said Mourinho. “Sometimes, we had no balls, and other times we had two balls.

"I can't control that, the referee can't control that. It was difficult to play regularly and consecutively but it is something that is out of control.

"Even in the six minutes (of stoppage-time), the same happened. We cannot be here all day. The referee cannot give 15 minutes or give six and, after six, give another six."

“I don't like to lose because of bad decisions from the referee, but the referee was very good today.

“I don't like to lose and blame my players but that wasn't the case today. We were just unlucky.

“They scored the only two times they crossed the halfway line and scored two strange goals because of rebounds.

"But I am not going to criticise the way Newcastle played. We changed our strategy and played direct, and we almost got the point we deserved.

"We were unlucky, but one day we will be lucky.

"The best team lost, the team which tried to win lost. We were unlucky but that's football."

Nelson Mandela remembered on first anniversary of death

Nelson Mandela remembered on first anniversary of death
One year after Nelson Mandela died at the age of 95 at his Houghton home in Johannesburg on December 5, South African remembers on the first year anniversary.

Mandela's widow Graca Machel said the former statesman is happy and smiling wherever he is.

“I know that he is smiling and happy among the family he chose to build. The family he chose to build with [Walter] Sisulu, [OR] Tambo, [Lilian] Ngoyi and so on,” she said.

“On the day of his passing I was not able to think, I was numb… but looking back I can imagine him tall and proud, walking, and all of them rising to welcome him… I know Madiba is in good hands.”

She said Mandela was at peace and surrounded by family when he died.

“I stand here today as a mother of two families. He was surrounded by family when he passed… his face had tranquillity and peace.

“When he left he said ‘I leave you in peace and I want you to live in peace’.”

Machel said Mandela’s legacy could not be claimed by one institution or country.

“It is up to everyone in the world to take a stake from his legacy of goodness and forgiveness.”

She thanked South Africans for their support and “deep love”.

The Mandela family, led by Madiba’s grandson Mandla, held hands and formed a circle in front of the statue after placing the wreaths.

“Dalibunga,” said Mandla, who raised his hands towards the statue as he said Mandela’s circumcision name.

“This is a day to reflect on the momentous life of Comrade Tata Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela who served South Africa, and all humanity, in a way that no one individual has ever done or is ever likely to in the foreseeable future,” Congress of SA Trade Unions spokesman Patrick Craven said in a statement.

“He left it up to us and future generations to continue that struggle to see the promises of the Freedom Charter brought to life.”

Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu said in a statement that Mandela taught the world to never give up hope.

“This is as valid in the context of his legacy today as it was in 1963, when he was sentenced to life imprisonment, and in 1994.”

Mandela respected everyone, irrespective of class or ethnicity, Tutu said.

“Our obligation to Madiba is to continue to build the society he envisaged, to follow his example.

“A society founded on human rights, in which all can share in the rich bounty God bestowed on our country.”

Former president FW de Klerk, who shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Mandela in 1993 for his role in ending apartheid, said Madiba’s life represented the struggle for freedom and non-racial democracy for the majority of South Africans.

“Through his remarkable charm and magnanimity he was able to persuade his fellow leaders in the ANC and most of his former opponents and critics to join him on a peaceful march to a non-racial and democratic society,” De Klerk said in a statement.

“Although Nelson Mandela is no longer physically with us his legacy remains to guide us as we continue our journey into the third decade of our new society.”

Technology Minister Naledi Pandor said Mandela laid the foundation for a new society, free of racial divisions and full of hope for the future.

“President Mandela understood that patterns of behaviour are not accidental products of nature, but are acquired through social interaction and nurturing.”
