Mixed reviews as Kate's first official portrait is unveiled

Kate Middleton's first portrait hanging at the National portrait gallery

When Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton's first official portrait was unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery, it was described by the duke of Cambridge as "just beautiful".

But the painting done by Paul Emsley, in which the duchess appears older than her 31 years, has divided the art world with some critics describing it as "boring" and "awful".
