Nigeria — With not one but two kisses and tender whispered words, Tuface Idibia and Anne Macaulay smiled and blushed Friday as they started their life as husband and wife. A day of seamless pageantry inspired hopes that this couple might live happily ever after.
They appeared at ease throughout their traditional wedding day, with Tuface fighting back giggles at times, while Annie's smile lit up photoshoot.
People gathered at the Apostolic High School, Esit Urua Community, Eket-Ibeno in Akwa Ibom, the brides hometown crying with joy. Cheers went up as the couple exchanged the traditional kiss.
Tuface and Annie have been engaged since last year after the award winning musician popped the proposal with a sparkling diamond ring on Valentine’s day at former Club 10 (now Club PoP) in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Tuface met Annie while still struggling in the industry as an upcoming artiste and member of the defunct pop group, Plantashaun Boiz.
When he left the group to pursue a solo career, Annie stuck with him and unmindful of other women who swarmed around the young successful handsome crooner.
2Face eventually featured her in the video of his hit track, “African Queen”, from where the two later became a hotter item. Not long after, they cemented their relationship when their four year old daughter, Isabella Eneh arrived.
The governor of Akwa Ibom state gave them two brand new Prado Jeep and also promised to send 30 people to Dubai for the white wedding
Nigerian celebrities Cynthia Amada, Iyanya, Kate Henshaw and Sound Sultan were also present
