Godwin Emefiele: The Man Who Got the CBN Job

The Senate this morning confirmed the appointment of Mr Godwin Emefiele as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. What happened to Sanusi's deputy being made the governor?  Best Man for the Job: What the Hell is President Goodluck Jonathan Thinking?

Eyebrows raised. Words closed mouthed. Loud applause at the Senate and Presidential Villa. The President-man has been anointed. He is the chosen one unlike his predecessor. He will bend and keep quiet. No report of stolen funds will be leaked. What a scam. Emefiele was the Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank before his new appointment. He replaces Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who was suspended by the Federal Government on February 20th over allegations of financial recklessness and misconduct.
